| FIRE DOOR MARKING
In
conditions of reduced visibility, door edge marking is an effective enhancement
to wall mounted escape path marking. The system, without the tactile indicators,
is affixed around the door for enhanced orientation, as shown below.

The photograph shows the electroluminescent
system, in its activated state, marking the fire exit door in an
office environment.
Fire door marking with the electroluminescent
system would also assist deaf people as once the system became activated,
i.e. illuminated, this would indicate that the building needed to
be evacuated.
