Electroluminescent signage is an optional extra to provide a holistic fire safety solution. It provides a very thin profile sign, typically 3mm, but the finished thickness is dependent upon the profile of the surrounding frame.

Different portions of the electroluminescent sign can be configured to illuminate in different sequences. This provides an extremely eye catching and effective sign, which without this technology is, at best, difficult. Additionally, unlike incandescent and fluorescent lights, it does not fail catastrophically.

A typical fire exit sign can be configured with the following options:

• White area constantly on with flashing green area. • Green area constantly on with flashing white area. • Both areas on constantly.

These states apply when the Power Supply Unit is enabled from smoke detector or mains failure.
